Cliff has over thirty years experience in Alternative Dispute Resolution, (ADR),, both corporate affairs and litigation. Most recentlyThe most recent ADR assignments included the multi-lingual, multi-culture Superior Court of Los Angles County. His in areas of litigation practice include insured and self-insured litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. Representative matters in cover the spectrum of the transportation, aviation and aerospace, industry including, but are not limited too, accidents, torts, contracts, transactions, regulatory compliance and enforcement. His enforcement experience covers the gamut, dealing with all forms of transportation and aircraft, including full scale, drones, RPA's and UAV's.
Cliff is a graduate of Pepperdine University School of Law's Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution, having received his LL.M. Alternative Dispute Resolution and a concentration in International Commercial Arbitration. The Straus Institute is consistently rated as the nation's number one dispute resolution program and recognized as a leading institution worldwide. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Tulsa College of Law. He is as an adjunct settlement judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. He is continuing studies including participation in the Program on Negotiations at Harvard Law School's Executive Education courses.
In addition to his professional legal experience, and specific to aviation, Cliff received an undergraduate degree in Aeronautical Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and has completed the requirements for and holds a Maintenance Certificate from the Spartan College of Aeronautics. He is also a Senior Certified Aircraft Appraiser / USPAP qualified, by the National Aircraft Appraisers Association, holds various FAA ratings. including Airline Transport Pilot, Instrument Flight Instructor and Mechanic's certificates with airframe and powerplant ratings. Unique to Cliff's experience level are his ratings and certifications in numerous jet warbird and experimental aircraft, both jet and prop, and is one of the very few pilots to have been awarded a jet racing Letter of Authorization certifying him as a qualified pilot in the Jet Class of the National Championship Reno Air Races. Cliff has participated in the National Championship Reno Air Races since 1991 in the biplane and jet classes.
