About this firm

In 1963, William R. "Bill" Pakis opened his law office in Waco. With a primary focus on the formation and operation of business entities and the effective administration and disposition of estates, Bill formed and guided what is now this fourteen-lawyer firm. Our firm has grown along with many of our clients, and our attorneys now practice in virtually every area of the law. With offices near both county and federal courthouses, our firm has been a constant presence in Waco for more than 50 years.

Pakis, Giotes, Page & Burleson, P.C. has a long and distinguished tradition of service to our clients and takes pride in maintaining the impressive standard set by Bill Pakis. Our attorneys, with more than 250 years of practice experience among them, share strength in their accumulated knowledge and passion in their achievements. The Martindale Hubbell legal directory has consistently recognized our firm and our lawyers with the highest ethical and professional ratings. We take great pride in our dedication to meeting our clients' needs and obtaining favorable results. Our firm has been voted Best Law Firm in the annual Best of Waco edition of the WACOAN magazine four times: 2006, 2008, 2009, and 2013.

Our firm is committed to improving the Waco community and serving its residents. Our firm, through both its attorneys and its staff, believes in giving back to Waco and its surrounding communities. With a generous spirit, demonstrated through civic and community leadership, volunteerism, and financial support, our attorneys and staff serve on the boards of numerous educational, health and welfare, arts, children's, and faith-based organizations. In addition to civic involvement, our attorneys and staff have given countless hours to professional organizations.

With the continued growth and development of Central Texas, our firm stands ready to serve the needs of our clients and our community.
