Since 1979, our attorneys have been serving clients throughout Northeast Florida. We have handled almost every conceivable criminal law problem for our clients. We and our staff strive to keep you fully informed of every option and potential outcome in your case.
Our legal team boasts more than 80 years of combined experience. Firm founder Robert Shafer is a former Director of the State Attorney's Office. Hugh Fletcher served as a judge for 24 years before retiring and joining our firm. Kimberly Sadler is a five-time Emmy and Peabody award winner, who took her experiences working for NBC and turned them into a long-standing desire to protect her neighbors. The newest member of the firm, Zach Shafer, has been exclusively handling criminal law cases since his graduation from law school in 2009.
No case is too small or too large for Robert Shafer & Associates.
This firm, and every lawyer in it, has an excellent reputation within the Northeast Florida legal community. We get to know each client personally so as to best represent his/her cases and circumstances in the system.
As soon as you hire Robert Shafer & Associates, we immediately set up dialogue with the prosecutor assigned to your case to obtain a complete picture of your situation, not just what the police reported. We pass along information about your personal situation to portray you as a real person, not just another criminal file in their filing cabinet.
Additionally, we make every effort to accommodate each client's schedule regarding work and family matters. While your case is pending, we are available to meet with you when you want. Usually we can schedule an appointment for the same day you call.
We intend to provide the best representation at a reasonable fee.
Because each case is unique, our attorney fees are based on your particular circumstances. There is simply no "one-fee-fits-all" philosophy that is fair to clients. You are invited to our office to personally discuss your problem in detail and explain any non-legal considerations, such as work, family, school, medical, etc., and how they will impact our handling of your case.
The fee we quote you in our meeting is based on our evaluation of the work to be done. We'll be able to tell you what you're facing, what the risks are, and suggest some possible defenses that may apply specifically in your case. You will know the total cost of representation when you hire our firm. Flat fees protect you because you're agreeing to the total amount of legal fees in advance. As a result, the risk that attorney fees can go higher and higher is eliminated. You do not have worry about the cost of a phone call, document, or office visit. You have the peace of mind that everything is being taken care of, and we are looking out for your interests.
There is never a good time to be arrested or charged with a crime. The need for a criminal defense lawyer is urgent and unplanned. Our legal fees are affordable and we accept all credit cards. We can also work out a special payment arrangement if necessary. Contact us online or call us today at 904-450-5872 to discuss your case.
All attorneys are admitted to the Florida Bar.
