Louis Wooten holds a master's law degree in taxation (LL.M. Taxation) from Emory University and he spent two years as a federal law clerk on the United States Tax Court in Washington DC. His experience in tax matters is particularly useful in business acquisitions and dispositions as well as business formations involving disparate capital contributions.

Louis Wooten's broad based business and tax background also provide him with the knowledge and skill necessary to address all trust and estate issues. He is familiar with all the latest estate planning techniques and has substantial experience in the administration of decedents' estates. In addition, his experience as a business lawyer also give him the tools necessary to address the business law issues that often arise in estate administration in which the decedent was involved in commercial enterprises.

Mr. Wooten's tax experience also gives him the knowledge and skills necessary to handle all types of federal, state and local tax controversies from audit to collection. Over the years he has developed a tenacious and yet common sense based approach to disputes involving the various tax agencies which has proven to be very effective for his clients.
