Bartley G. (“Bart”) Vickers is a Partner in the firm's Orlando office. His areas of practice are primarily focused on general civil litigation, insurance representation, first party property claims, catastrophic and personal injury, vehicle negligence, premises liability, subrogation disputes, professional negligence, personal injury protection (PIP), fraud litigation and Special Investigations (SIU). Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Bart Vickers earned his Juris Doctorate degree from The University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2006 after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in English-American Literature from the University of Florida in 2001. While in Memphis, Bart Vickers clerked for the Honorable Donna M. Fields, Circuit Court Judge in and for Shelby County, Tennessee. Mr. Vickers was active in the Student Bar Association, holding the office of Executive Director, and participated in various Moot Court and Mock Trial Competitions, winning awards.
Mr. Vickers began his legal career as an Assistant Public Defender for the Ninth Judicial Circuit in and for Orange County, Florida, where he gained valuable trial experience representing indigent individuals charged with criminal offenses. In 2011, he continued his focus in Criminal Defense and Complex Trial Practice in the private sector, while also handling civil litigation matters before joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A. in the Spring of 2014. Bart is also active in the local legal community currently serving as the Liberty Bell Chair for the Law Week Committee and formerly serving on the Board of Directors for the Central Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and The Young Lawyers Section of the Orange County Bar Association.
