Kate R. Portner Gartke



Kate joined the Corporate Law Group at Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall in 2018 after completing her summer and articling programs with the firm. Kate completed her JD at the University of Ottawa in 2017 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Political Science from Queen’s University in 2013.

Since first joining the firm as a summer student in 2016, Kate has acquired a wide range of practical legal experience. In addition to assisting in various matters in the areas of general corporate and commercial law, cannabis law, and wills and estates, Kate has assisted in matters before the Ontario Small Claims Court, the Superior Court of Justice, and Family Court.

Kate is fluently bilingual and proud to be able to represent and assist clients in both English and French.
