She concentrates on corporate, commercial and real estate cross-border transactions with particular attention to those where one of the parties are a family office or a family business.
Roberta acts as the point of reference for many Italian companies doing business around the world and for foreign companies and individuals investing in Italy. Her legal training and experience in various jurisdictions, together with an in-depth knowledge of various legal systems and foreign laws, have heightened her ability to synthesise the principles of civil law (european law) and common law (Anglo-Saxon system).
Roberta is the first Italian woman to become a partner of a city firm in London, and is also one of the few female managing partners of a structured Italian law firm.
‘Elle’ magazine quoted her among the first ’100 women of excellence in Italy’ (October 2010).
In 2011, she was elected the first ‘Female Lawyer of the year’ by Toplegal (first Italian monthly legal directory)
‘A’ magazine quoted her as one of the 50 top manager women in Italy (February 2012)
Roberta has been mentioned as a ‘Recommended Lawyer’ by Legal 500 EMEA in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
In 2014, under her guidance, the Italian practice received Toplegal’s annual award as the ‘Best Place to Work’.
In 2018 she featured in Forbes Italia’s ‘Italian Women of Achievement . This list highlights individuals who are active in the areas where Italy plays a major role on the international stage and is one of only two lawyers included.

I am an advocate of equal opportunities for women in the workplace
From the first day I started studying law at Padua University I knew I wanted to be an international lawyer dealing with corporate/real estate cross border issues. In particular, I enjoyed learning about different systems of law - civil and common law, which proved to be most appropriate as I now deal with these differences on a daily basis.
I also love to travel, both within Italy and to other countries, which my job entails.
To relax and wind down, during my free time I cook and am a big fan of the Mediterranean diet. Healthy food is a must at home. When my children were in primary school, I sent them off with packed lunches to be sure they were eating correctly.
I am an advocate of equal opportunities for women in the workplace and in particular in the legal profession. At Withers, there are many women in senior positions, which I find most inspiring.
