Butler Weihmuller Katz Craig

About our Philadelphia, PA office

We are unique in that our practice is devoted entirely to defense and insurance litigation. Our clients are corporations, insurance companies, and insured individuals, and our representation of them has taken us across the United States, to Europe and the Caribbean. We aspire to provide the highest quality counsel and, at the same time, to meet the administrative demands of our institutional clients. Hopefully, our 30 year record speaks for itself.

In professional activities, our history is a distinguished record. Our partners have played prominent roles in national legal organizations, such as the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (President), the Defense Research Institute (Board of Directors), and Lawyers for Civil Justice (President). We know that our participation in these bodies builds our legal knowledge. We also believe that the professional connections we have gained, provide a demonstrable benefit to our clients.

Butler embraces diversity in our nation, in our communities and in our hiring practices.

Why is diversity important in the workplace? Why do we embrace it as a fundamental objective? Why is it inherently good for people from varying backgrounds to work together?

We believe, when people who are diverse work together, their shared tasks become the things that bind them. The work at hand, along with the collaboration of bringing it to a successful end, creates an improved community and a higher quality work product for our clients.

In that sense, diversity dissolves differences. And, in the process, it enriches our lives and opens our minds.
