Lauren M. Banton is an associate in Fineman, Krekstein & Harris' litigation group, representing clients in matters involving commercial litigation and business disputes, consumer financial services, insurance defense, insurance coverage and bad faith, and premises liability.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Banton served as a law clerk to the Honorable Steven C. Tolliver in the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas. In that role, Ms. Banton assisted and advised the judge on civil motion practice, and courtroom proceedings, and gained extensive experience with legal research and writing.
In 2013, Ms. Banton graduated from Temple University's Beasley School of Law. During the academic year in law school, Ms. Banton worked as an intern in the Bureau of Consumer Protection division of the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General. She later served as a certified legal intern in the litigation department of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, and subsequently worked for the Pennsylvania Innocence Project. During the summers of 2011 and 2012, Ms. Banton served as a judicial intern to the Honorable C. Darnell Jones in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and as an intern in the School District of Philadelphia's Office of General Counsel, respectively. Ms. Banton's law school accomplishments included Dean's List, and Outstanding Oral Argument in Legal Research & Writing.
