Biography

William Brown is the former Chairman of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. He also served as Chief of the Fraud Unit and Deputy District Attorney in Philadelphia. He is nationally known in the field of employment discrimination. He served as a mediator for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania; as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association; and as Judge Pro Tem of the Court of Common Pleas in Philadelphia. He chaired the Philadelphia Special Investigation Commission investigating the MOVE tragedy in 1985. Mr. Brown has practiced for over 55 years and served on the firm’s Executive Committee from 1983-1987.
