Biography

Alyssa R. Sweeney is an associate at Pollock Begg Komar Glasser & Vertz LLC, with a practice spanning all areas of family law. A keen strategist, Alyssa is adept at identifying and clarifying client priorities, while comforting individuals during turbulence in their lives.

A Pittsburgh native, Alyssa previously worked as a legal intern for family court Judge Kim D. Eaton, as a law clerk at Woomer & Hall LLP, and as a research assistant at the Duquesne Center for Legal Information before joining Pollock Begg as a law clerk in 2015. Alyssa is admitted to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania and is a member of the Pennsylvania and Allegheny County bar associations as well as the ACBA Young Lawyer’s Division.

Alyssa achieved a bachelor’s degree in communications and a minor in English from The Pennsylvania State University before pursing her Juris Doctor at Duquesne University School of Law. She received multiple awards at Duquesne, coached the Appellate Moot Court team, and was a peer advisor at the university as well.
