Brian C. Brian C. Vertz was elected in 2003 to the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a national organization of family lawyers who are recognized by judges and peers as the nation's premier divorce lawyers with a superior level of knowledge, skill and integrity. Brian is highly active at the state-wide and national levels of the organization, serving as the co-chair of two national committees and an officer of the Pennsylvania Chapter. He completed his training to become a certified matrimonial arbitrator in 2013. He is a lifetime member of the AAML Foundation and serves on the fundraising committee for charitable causes relating to children.
Since the beginning of his career, Brian C. Vertz has been a prolific writer, authoring case studies and continuing education materials for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute since 1992. He is one of the long-running authors and teachers for PBI's annual Family Law Update, which is broadcast statewide at dozens of locations in Pennsylvania. He has lectured twice for the Pennsylvania Conference of State Trial Judges. Brian is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Family Law Section Council, which is active in family law legislation and rule-making. Locally, Brian C. Vertz has been active with the Allegheny County Bar Association, Westmoreland County Bar Association, Crafton Public Library, and charitable organizations.
