Bruce Rudoy is a shareholder and co-chair of the Energy and Natural Resources group and chair of the Mineral Title Department of Babst Calland. Mr. Rudoy concentrates his practice in the areas of oil and gas, business transactions, corporate and real estate law. He counsels various oil and gas related clients on title, transaction and regulatory matters. Those matters are diverse and include oil and gas title issues and opinions, purchase and sale of oil and gas assets, due diligence examination and analysis, midstream title and transactional matters, joint venture operating structures (both as operator and non-operator), operator/issuer in limited partnership offering structures, oil and gas leasing, seismic data acquisition and license, oil and gas secured lending, and litigation related to all of the foregoing. Mr. Rudoy is also a member of the Firm's board of directors.
Mr. Rudoy graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1987 with a B.S. in Finance. He attended the London Metropolitan University (formerly City of London Polytechnic) in London, England in 1986 where he studied law and economics. Mr. Rudoy received his J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1992. During law school, he served on the Cleveland-Marshall Journal of Law and Health . Mr. Rudoy was also a visiting student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
Mr. Rudoy has been published and lectures frequently on topics including oil and gas law and business law issues before professional, civic, and scholastic organizations as well as in-house audiences in the oil and gas industry.

Mr. Rudoy is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, Alaska, Kentucky, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma (pending), Texas and West Virginia. He is a member of the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky and American Bar associations. Mr. Rudoy is past chair of the Oil and Gas Committee of the American Bar Association Section on Environment, Energy and Resources and current member of the Environment and Energy, Business Law, Real Property, and Probate & Trust Law sections of the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and American Bar associations. He is also a member of the Energy & Mineral Law Foundation (EMLF), Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation (RMMLF), National Association of Division Order Analysts (NADOA), American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL) (including the Michael Late Benedum Chapter of the AAPL), Houston Association of Professional Landmen (HAPL), Permian Basin Landmen's Association (PBLA), Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA), Pennsylvania Independent Oil and Gas Association (PIOGA), Ohio Oil and Gas Association (OOGA), and Northern Appalachian Landman's Association (NALA). Mr. Rudoy has been named in the Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Law sections of The Best Lawyers in America since 2012 and to the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list for Energy & Natural Resources since 2015. He has also been named in the Pittsburgh Business Times Who's Who in Energy since 2011.
