Molly Meacham is a shareholder and co-chair of the Litigation Group of Babst Calland. She is also a member of the Firm’s Employment and Labor and Mobility, Transport and Safety groups.
Ms. Meacham’s commercial litigation practice bridges all three of her groups within the Firm. She serves as lead trial counsel for clients in a broad range of business-related general litigation with a focus on contract disputes and restrictive covenant matters. Ms. Meacham also represents employers in discrimination cases and other employment-related disputes in the state and federal courts and before government and administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board and the Department of Labor. In addition, Ms. Meacham serves as regular outside employment counsel to many clients, providing ongoing advice on matters such as workplace investigations, legal and regulatory compliance, disability accommodation, disciplinary actions and employment agreements.
As a member of the Mobility, Transport and Safety Group, Ms. Meacham leverages her experience defending product sellers and manufacturers in the vehicle, consumer product and commercial product industries. In addition to defending contract, warranty and personal injury matters, she brings a litigator’s perspective to the strategic process of balancing innovation with risk management.
In all matters Ms. Meacham serves as an active partner to clients, applying her experience and creativity to identify and implement business-centered solutions. At the pre-litigation stage her focus is on identification and management of risk. Once a matter is in litigation her focus becomes efficiently achieving an outcome that will best serve her client’s goals, and maintaining open communication with her client partners to evaluate those goals as the matter proceeds toward trial.
Ms. Meacham graduated from Villanova University with a B.A., Honors Program, in English and Classical Studies, as well as a Business minor. She received her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School. While in law school, Ms. Meacham served as chairperson of the Honor Council and worked at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy in its Electronic Publishing Division.
