Courtney is a native of Warwick, Rhode Island. She is a graduate of Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut and Boston University School of Law. She worked for several years at a law firm in Providence, Rhode Island where she focused her practice in domestic relations and juvenile law, representing clients in matters relating to divorce, child custody and visitation, child support, DCYF, prenuptial agreements, restraining orders and juvenile issues, among others. Since joining HCC, Courtney has focused her practice in domestic relations and defense litigation, including personal injury, premises liability and workers’ compensation. Courtney is admitted to practice law in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island. She has served as a volunteer advocate at DayOne, a Providence-based organization providing advocacy services to victims of violence and abuse. She is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Defense Council of Rhode Island and the Edward P. Gallogly Family Law Inn of Court
