Attorney David T. Oliver focuses his practice on general civil and commercial litigation and appeals in the areas of corporate and business disputes, contract disputes, real property litigation, probate and trust litigation, construction litigation, representation of creditors in bankruptcy, and community association law. David is a member of the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. David has an AV Preeminent® peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
David received a bachelor’s degree, with Distinction, from Virginia Military Institute and in 2008 obtained his Juris Doctorate, with Honors, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
David has served as a Reserve Officer in the United States Army and worked as a transportation officer with a major rail carrier. While in law school, David deployed with his Florida National Guard unit for active duty in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
David currently serves on the Board of Directors of Charlotte County Family YMCA and as a mentor with the Take Stock in Children program. He is a member of the Leadership Charlotte Class of 2015 and the Charlotte-DeSoto Building Industry Association. Before relocating his practice to Charlotte County, David was an officer and board member with the Educational Foundation of Lake County and the Lake County Bar Association.
David serves on the Board of Directors of the Charlotte County Bar Association and is a past president of the Charlotte County Young Lawyers Division. He is a member of the Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar, the Charlotte County Bar Association and the Southwest Florida Federal Court Bar Association. David was selected as a Florida Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and as a Florida Trend Legal Elite Up & Comer for 2014.
