Since 1994, he has been actively practicing as the attorney of large oil and mining companies that have operated and continue to produce in Ecuador. Between 2003 and 2006, he was the in-house lawyer of EnCana, an oil company that carried out major exploration and production activities in Ecuador's eastern region. In 2006, he rejoined the law firm and has been mostly handling matters for clients involved in the different phases of the hydrocarbon and mining industries. He is strongly connected to the firm's intellectual property department. He has handled many merger & acquisition cases and different kinds of project financing.
