Mr. Patrick Roberts

Mr. Patrick Roberts: Attorney with Roberts Law Group, PLLC

Biography

I am a criminal defense attorney. I help solve problems for my clients and their families, fixing challenging situations under difficult circumstances. My job is to defend people who have been charged with crimes in state and federal courts across North Carolina and throughout the country - and it's a job I love. After spending several years as a prosecutor, I decided to start my own law firm in 2007, and I've been passionately defending the accused ever since.

Each day, every day, I work tirelessly to master my craft and to better serve the people I represent.

My job performance directly affects peoples' lives and I take pride in that. Success in criminal defense means changing lives by what I do on a daily basis. Solving problems is the work that I am best suited for. In college, I studied Chemical Engineering. It may not sound related, but that's where I discovered that I love solving problems. In my legal practice, I am solving problems every day for people, hunting for the best possible outcome based on all the facts and evidence at hand. I am passionate about this work and wouldn't trade it for anything else.

Service to the Community

In 2014, I was appointed by North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory to serve on his Crime Commission, Juvenile Justice Planning Committee, working to help ensure fair treatment and justice for North Carolina's children and teens.

Most recently, in 2016, I was appointed by Gov. McCrory to serve on the North Carolina State Ethics Commission, to assist in the investigation of complaints made against state lawmakers, state officials, judges, district attorneys, and other covered persons accused of ethics violations.

Attorney Roberts and his staff are exceptional and highly recommended. He was upfront, transparent, experienced, and explained possible outcomes. He and his staff were encouraging, supportive and respectful, helping every step of the way. Attorney Roberts effectively communicated progress as needed. At the final sentencing, he was able to negotiate a judgement significantly reduced from what was originally charged, including no prison time. I will forever be grateful to Patrick and his staff.
