Biography

Kris Gardner’s practice focuses primarily in local government law, litigation and alcoholic beverage control law. He serves as general counsel to the North Carolina Beer & Wine Wholesalers Association and the North Carolina Nurses Association. He also serves as the town attorney for Enfield and Littleton, both in Halifax County. Kris represents creditors in debt collection matters, assists small business owners, and represents professionals before licensing boards such as the North Carolina Board of Dental Examiners and the North Carolina Medical Board. Kris is also certified by the NC Dispute Resolution Commission as a mediator in Superior Court matters.

A native of Charlotte, Kris graduated cum laude from the North Carolina Central University School of Law, where he was a senior editor of the law journal. He attended North Carolina State University before graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1998.

Kris is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in North Carolina, the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, Wake County Bar Association, and N.C. Professional Lobbyists Association. He is a former member of the American Bar Association and the NCBA’s Lawyer Referral Service Committee. Kris served as an at-large member on the Morrisville town council from 2014-2015. He was Vice-President and a member of the Board of Directors for the Morrisville Community Fund from 2014-2016.

Kris was recognized as a “Rising Star” by North Carolina Super Lawyers magazine from 2009-2014, and was first listed in the main list in 2015. His hobbies include hunting and saltwater fishing.
