Dan Peelman, a winning litigator, has been practicing family law for more than 25 years across southern California. Whether it is a divorce, a custody battle, visitation rights, child or spousal support, attorney Peelman has the knowledge, experience and skills to help you win.

Attorney Peelman has both educational and life experience. He obtained his Juris Doctor Law Degree from the University Of LaVerne College of Law and his Master’s Degree from University of Southern California (USC). As the top student in his law school class, attorney Peelman became the Editor-In-Chief of the Law Review and published legal articles both as a writer and Editor in the nationally recognized Journal of Juvenile Law. Attorney Peelman was elected by other family law attorneys as President of the San Bernardino County East-West Family Law Bar Association. Attorney Peelman is also a decorated retired Los Angeles Police Department Sergeant and a decorated honorably discharged Vietnam era military veteran. In 1992, he opened his own family law practice, The Law Offices of Dan Peelman, PC.

In addition to attorney Peelman’s family law experience, attorney Peelman has served as a contract City Prosecutor to the city of Upland. He also served as primary Deputy City Prosecutor to the cities of Rancho Cucamonga, West Covina, Costa Mesa, Downey, Manhattan Beach, Bloomington and Rolling Hills Estates. Furthermore, attorney Peelman served as Special Counsel to the South Gate and Upland Police Departments and he has served as Deputy General Counsel to the California State Sheriffs Association.

He focuses his practice exclusively in the area of family law, handling a variety of different cases, including those involving basic to complex marital dissolutions, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, paternity matters, domestic partnerships, child custody, enforcement of court orders, post-judgment modifications, domestic violence restraining order litigation and guardianship law. Additionally, he is trained in alternative dispute resolution techniques and has substantial courtroom experience, such as, domestic violence emergency hearings and trials, Request for Order (RFO) hearings, support hearings, business valuation trials, property division hearings, custody trials and third parent rights hearings. Attorney Peelman is an exceptionally skilled and experienced family law Trial Attorney.

Family law practice is very document intensive and requires close examination of each party's assets, income and expenses. Attorney Peelman has an experienced staff that gives him the ability to maximize his efforts on behalf of each and every client. In many cases, the opposing party will intentionally hide assets or attempt to reduce their income to lessen their exposure to child support, spousal support and the equitable distribution of property. Attorney Peelman and his experienced staff painstakingly inspect voluminous financial records and supporting documents for his clients. Furthermore, in some cases, it is necessary to have the right experts (child psychologists, accountants, etc.) to consult with in order to achieve the client's goals or to protect a client’s best interests. Whether it is a child custody evaluator, a forensic accountant or a vocational evaluator, knowing the right experts to call upon is often the key to success in family law matters.
