Spiros Fousekis is a partner in the firm’s Redwood City office. He has extensive expertise and experience in labor and employment litigation and counseling. Mr. Fousekis also represents clients in real estate and corporate transactions, as well as commercial litigation matters.
Mr. Fousekis counsels and advises clients on litigation strategy, best practices, and mitigating potential exposure in labor and employment matters. His experience includes defending employers against claims for harassment, discrimination, and retaliation under the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), wrongful termination, wage and hour matters, meal and rest period disputes, whistleblower retaliation claims, the Private Attorneys General Act, and employee/independent contractor classification disputes. He also counsels corporate clients and individuals on executive separations. Mr. Fousekis has comprehensive experience in all phases of litigation, including dispositive motions, alternative dispute resolution, and trial. He also represents clients in administrative proceedings before the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the Department of Labor, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Mr. Fousekis counsels clients on commercial strategy in real estate and corporate transactions in industries including technology, biotech, retail, manufacturing, construction, and commercial real estate.
Mr. Fousekis received his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2008. In 2007, Mr. Fousekis externed for the Honorable Judge Phyllis J. Hamilton, U.S District Court, Northern District of California. He earned his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley in 2004. He is admitted to practice in all California state courts and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Central, Eastern, and Southern districts of California.
