Biography

Daniel A. Simons is a 1978 summa cum laude graduate of Transylvania University. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky School of Law, with honors, in 1981, graduating Order of the Coif. While attending the University of Kentucky School of Law, he served on the editorial board of the Kentucky Law Journal. He was admitted to the Kentucky State Bar in 1981, and the United States District Court, Eastern District of Kentucky, in that same year. He was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court in 1985, and is admitted to the United States Tax Court.

Dan is a member of the Kentucky and Madison County Bar Associations, and serves on the Supreme Court Rules Committee. He is member of the Kentucky Justice Association and the American Association for Justice. He has a general trial practice, concentrating in the areas of insurance defense and personal injury, including wrongful death, professional negligence and products liability. He has served as an invited lecturer at many seminars in these particular areas of practice.
