About our Salem, MA: office

My name is John Legasey, and I have been privileged to practice family law in Massachusetts for more than 35 years. At Legasey & Associates, my mission is to serve my clients with a high degree of skill in both litigation and alternative dispute resolution. It's my firm belief that negotiation is often the most cost-effective and least damaging method to settle family discord, but I choose negotiation only when it is in my client's best interests.

I am recognized as a skilled trial lawyer with a proven track record, but I'm also known for being a highly knowledgeable adviser, mediator and negotiator. I am committed to staying abreast of the latest developments in family law through continuing legal education, both as a participant and as a teacher. I am proud to be respected within the legal community and enjoy a solid reputation in the courts as an effective and knowledgeable advocate.

Dedicated to tailoring my services to clients' needs and achieving their goals as quickly and efficiently as possible, I am able to save them both time and money. I provide appropriately aggressive yet dignified representation to find the right solution to your family law matter - avoiding litigation when there are other, more efficient methods of achieving the results you seek.

A majority of my work is based on referrals and recommendations from satisfied clients, which serves to confirm both my ability and dedication to handling each case with the utmost care. I am committed to guiding your family through difficult times and complicated legal issues until a satisfactory resolution is reached. I listen carefully to you to fully understand your concerns and always respond to your questions promptly. With my proven record of successful verdicts and exceptional client service, I am confident in achieving the relief your family seeks.

If you need assistance with a family law matter, call Legasey & Associates at 978.219.4915 or email me. With flexible office hours, I am available to consult with you at a time that best suits you. My office is conveniently located in the heart of Salem, across from the Peabody Essex Museum, with an entrance from the Pedestrian Mall.
