Mr. Speckhals joined Kipp and Christian in 2018. Before joining the firm, Mr. Speckhals clerked for various judges in Colorado, Arizona, and Utah, including Colorado District Court Judge Margie Enquist, Colorado Court of Appeals Judge Laurie Booras, and Arizona Court of Appeals Judge Patricia K. Norris. Most recently, Mr. Speckhals clerked for Utah Court of Appeals Judge Ryan Harris. Through those experiences, Mr. Speckhals has gained valuable insights on the judicial process from assisting those judges with numerous trials and appeals.

Outside of work, Mr. Speckhals enjoys cooking, running, hiking, cycling, backpacking, and snowboarding with his wife, a child psychologist. Mr. Speckhals also enjoys spending time with his dog, a very energetic rescue boxer mix.
