Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Ms. Cordova graduated from Westminster College in 1995 and the University of Utah law school in 2001. Prior to pursuing her law degree, she worked for Juvenile Justice Services and Juvenile Probation, giving her special insight into juvenile offenses and the often confusing juvenile court process. Ms. Cordova is familiar with and known to Utah court personnel, law enforcement, prosecutors, social workers, and medical professionals, and has trained law enforcement and medical professionals regarding the criminal justice system, jury trials, and changes in criminal statutes. She continues to lecture to such groups in her capacity as a defense attorney.

Anderson Inn of Court, is a member of the Mary Willis Critchlow Society of the YWCA, and is Secretary of the School Board of her sons' school
