Biography

Seth Schechter is a Senior Associate Attorney with For Purpose Law Group. Seth’s practice focuses primarily on nonprofit, transactional, and tax work. Seth has worked extensively with thought leaders in both the for-profit and nonprofit spaces, and he has a passion for work that makes a positive difference. Seth has represented some noteworthy clients, including Sidney Frank (creator of the Grey Goose Vodka brand) and the United States Government. He also held significant roles at nonprofit research institutes including the Salk Institute, the Venter Institute and the Scripps Research Institute.

Seth began his career serving as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney, and then as in-house counsel for the Sidney Frank Importing Company in San Diego and New Rochelle. Seth received his B.A. from Cornell, J.D. from California Western, and LL.M. in Taxation from the University of San Diego School of Law

Seth currently serves on the boards of the Jackson Hole Technology Partnership and the Surfrider Foundation’s SmartFin Team. When not working, Seth enjoys surfing, skiing and trying to keep up with his kids.
