Mr. Sevilla also counsels employers on various employment law matters and negotiates employment and severance agreements on behalf of companies and executives. He has successfully co-chaired jury trials on behalf of employers in state and federal courts. Mr. Sevilla has represented companies in several investigations and hearings before various administrative agencies, such as the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, and the United States Department of Labor. He also has a successful record in obtaining summary judgment on behalf of management in discrimination and retaliation claims. Mr. Sevilla also has succeeded in defeating class and conditional certification in federal wage and hour cases.
Pro Bono and Community Involvement
Mr. Sevilla is also active in pro bono and community service activities. He represents various pro bono clients in asylum and unlawful detainer actions.
