In addition to her work in areas regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and state regulatory agencies (such as California’s Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) and Department of Public Health (CDPH)), Ms. Yoo has substantial experience in the consumer product arena, shepherding clients at all stages of the consumer product supply chain through compliance, recalls, and rulemaking before the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
As a litigator, Ms. Yoo practiced extensively in state and federal courts, and now counsels clients on litigation risk analysis and avoidance measures, responses to litigation demand letters, and the development of litigation strategy. She also represents food industry clients in intellectual property matters before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Yoo served as a law clerk to the Honorable John E. Steele of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. She has also served as a legal intern for the Office of the General Counsel at the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS). Prior to joining Keller and Heckman’s San Francisco office, Ms. Yoo practiced litigation and regulatory law at a firm in Los Angeles and Albuquerque.
Ms. Yoo is a member of the Food and Drug Law Institute. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the North Fourth Art Center and VSA Arts of New Mexico. She is proficient in French and Korean.
