Mr. William F. Johnson

For more than four decades, William F. Johnson has served as one of the most accomplished family lawyers in Northern California. A highly-skilled advocate and trusted legal adviser, Bill has navigated clients through complex financial and high asset divorces. He has represented and advised numerous high-profile parties, in large part because of his ability to maintain their privacy. Bill’s focus is always on the long view: The ideal conclusion of a divorce is a result where both parties feel they were treated fairly. Bill graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and attended U.C. Berkeley Law School, aka Boalt Hall, graduating with a J.D. After a clerkship with Federal District Judge Thomas J. MacBride, he was recruited by the prestigious McCutchen law firm in San Francisco where he was in the litigation department. He went on to work in a litigation firm founded by A.P. Giannini's personal attorney, the legendary Angelo J. Scampini. It was at the Scampini firm that Bill was introduced to family law. His work in commercial litigation and entertainment law, has served him well as a family law attorney. Bill now practices family law exclusively in the California courts and advises other attorneys.
