I am the principal attorney at the Law Offices of Bill Ford. I have over 22 years of litigation experience. I worked for several years as a litigation paralegal for prominent law firms throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. As an attorney, I have successfully represented plaintiffs and defendants at trial and settlement conferences in civil cases throughout California, including personal injury, insurance defense, landlord-tenant, construction defect, civil rights, business torts, breach of contract, social security disability, employment, public entity defense, and a variety of general civil and business litigation cases.
My landlord-tenant law practice includes representing commercial and residential property management companies in breach of contract and unlawful detainer matters.
I also have substantial experience in offering public and private entities general business advice and representation and was the Assistant General Counsel for the San Francisco Housing Authority. Additionally, I have significant experience in employment law, preparing and negotiating contracts, license agreements, and service agreements on behalf of public entities and private companies.
My extensive background in representing plaintiffs, defendants, and public and private entities has given me the well-rounded training, experience, and strategic insight necessary to successfully assess, evaluate, prosecute, defend, and settle cases on behalf of my clients.
I received my Bachelor of Science degree and Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Francisco.
I was admitted to practice law in California in 2003 and am also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California.
