Scott's practice focuses on employment law. Scott consistently obtains outstanding results on behalf of his clients. He believes that no person, government, or corporate entity is beyond the reach of the law, and is committed to seeing that our court system protects and advances fundamental rights, not only for his clients, but for our nation and community. Scott has served as lead counsel in 18 cases that have resulted in judgments or settlements exceeding $1 Million. These include a $2.4 Million result in EEOC, Lam and Rios v. Fry's Electronics for retaliation, sexual harassment claims, and discovery sanctions after litigating the case through arbitration (one of the highest recoveries per plaintiff nationwide in the history of the EEOC). The case was also selected as one of the Top 25 Workplace Harassment, Bias Settlements by The Insurance Journal. In 2015 a Washington physician represented by Scott received $2.5 Million in a case against Catholic Health Initiatives in a wrongful discharge, defamation, and malicious prosecution lawsuit (Anel v. CHI). And In 2017 Scott made headlines yet again for a $1.85 Million single plaintiff settlement in an anti-immigrant harassment settlement. (Miranda v. Alaska Longline). Scott and the Blankenship Law Firm are rated AV preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, and Scott has been regularly selected as one of The Best Lawyers in America.
