  • In order to "provide investors with a more complete picture" of the compensation received by executive officers and directors of public companies, the Securities and Exchange Commission has issued final rules that will bring elements of a principles-based regulatory scheme to what is now primarily a rules-based disclosure system relating to executive and director compensation and related party transactions.
