  • Comment letters and issuer responses from completed SEC reviews of registration statements, proxy and tender offer materials, periodic reports and other filings with the SEC are now publicly available online through a new service offered by LIVEDGAR, an online research service for SEC filings and documents. Although these documents have always been available from the SEC under the Freedom of Information Act, the time-consuming FOIA request process and the absence of a searchable database discouraged broad public access.
