  • On May 13, 2004, the Securities and Exchange Commission proposed a comprehensive set of rules to address the registration, disclosure and reporting requirements for asset-backed securities under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended (the "1933 Act"), and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended (the "1934 Act"). The proposal is the most significant SEC action in the last ten years with regard to asset-backed securities.
