Winston is a partner in the corporate team.

His corporate practice covers a wide spectrum of corporate work including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate finance, and banking and corporate restructuring.

Winston’s practice focuses on cross border transactions and foreign direct investment in Asia, in particular, Indonesia, China, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.

His clients include local and foreign small and medium enterprises, multinational corporations and state-owned enterprises, the majority of which are in the energy and shipping industries.

Acted for AAM Advisory Pte Ltd, the largest expatriate advisory firm in Singapore, in its sale to Old Mutual Wealth, a leading UK International Wealth Management business and the largest financial advice network in the UK.

Acted for Pan Asia Logistics Group in the sale of its freight forwarding and logistics businesses, spanning China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam, to TVS Asianics.

Advised a client in the agriculture industry in a joint venture with an investor, whereby the investor will take an equity stake in our client’s company, in exchange for, amongst others, a leasehold interest in agricultural land.

Advised a Thai investor in the acquisition of palm oil plantation in Indonesia.

Advised Indonesian company on joint venture coal-fired power plant project in Indonesia, including project financing.

Advised a Singaporean company on construction of tankers in China, including ship financing.

Advised a Malaysian company on the sale of offshore accommodation barge to Middle East purchaser.
