David R. Reid opened this firm in 1995. Prior to this time, he practiced with the Office of Chief Counsel, IRS and Brown, Hay & Stephens in Atlanta, Georgia and Springfield, Illinois. During his tenure with the Office of Chief Counsel, IRS, Mr. Reid represented the IRS in Tax Court controversies, acted as National Coordinator for a tax shelter project, and was appointed a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for Bankruptcy. Presently, Mr. Reid is recognized as a "Leading Lawyer" in the areas of tax law (federal and state) and advising closely held businesses. David received a law degree from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida and an LLM Taxation degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Reid also earned an MBA degree from Florida International University in Miami, Florida, and Mr. Reid received a Masters of Public Administration degree from University of Illinois, Springfield, Springfield, Illinois. Finally, Mr. Reid previously served as a Judge and Commissioner for the Court of Claims.
