Biography

Alan N. Zvibleman is extremely proud to have been selected as Best Lawyers "Lawyer of the Year" for Family Law for the St. Louis area for 2016. In April 2016, he was also elected to serve a two year term as President of the Missouri Chapter of The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.

Alan is founding member of The Center for Family Law – a firm focused on solving family law issues. Alan believes in giving honest and realistic advice.

Since he began practicing in 1979, Alan’s first priority with cases has been to work with his clients in identifying their individual, realistic goals and ultimately achieving those goals. The focus is on each client’s future. Alan fully understands that his clients may be going through one of the most traumatic times of their lives. He is considered by clients and colleagues to be a voice of reason and common sense. He always brings the best of his skills, knowledge and experience to each matter he handles.

Alan is has been selected by his peers as one of the “Best Lawyers in America” in the area of family law. He is a also a proud Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), an organization that recognizes attorneys who demonstrate a high degree of competency in family law, have high ethical standards, and encourage peers to improve their practices. AAML is highly selective, and only 36 Missouri attorneys have been accepted as Fellows. Alan has also received numerous other recognitions and awards, including having been named a “Super Lawyer” for the Missouri-Kansas area in the area of family law since 2006.

Alan represents clients in a variety of family law issues, including high asset divorce cases, complex custody cases, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, as well as modification of maintenance and / or child support. In addition to representing clients in traditional litigation cases, Alan is a founding member of the Collaborative Family Law Association (CFLA) in St. Louis and is a highly skilled mediator.

Alan has represented professionals, business owners, managers and their spouses in both contested cases and in settlements.

He serves on the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section and is instrumental in planning the annual Missouri Bar Family Law Continuing Legal Education Conference. In 2008, he was appointed and now serves as the sole family law attorney on the St. Louis County Domestic Violence Council. Mr. Zvibleman is a past officer of the Family Law Section of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (BAMSL). From 2002 to 2009, he served as a member of the Board of Directors of Kids in the Middle, an organization dedicated to helping children whose parents are going through divorce or separation. Mr. Zvibleman is a frequent lecturer at educational programs for attorneys, both at the local and state levels. He has been the guest speaker on family law matters for the Association of Probate and Associate Circuit Court Judges. He also has been a guest expert for radio shows in which listeners call in legal questions. Mr. Zvibleman has been listed as a Super Lawyer (Family Law) by the Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers publication since 2006. When Mr. Zvibleman is not litigating, he serves as a neutral mediator. He is accepted as a mediator by the State of Missouri, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, and the Circuit Courts of St. Louis County and St. Louis City.
