Clay Thompson

Clay Thompson: Attorney with Maune, Raichle, Hartley, French & Mudd, LLC

Clay graduated from the University of Notre Dame Law School where he was actively involved in the legal aid clinic and was an editor of the Journal of Legislation. Clay first practiced at a large, full service St. Louis law firm before joining MRHFM. For several years Clay has only represented the victims of mesothelioma and their families, and he is in charge of the Firm's New York City office. Clay has appeared before judges and juries on behalf of his clients, representing plaintiffs who were exposed to asbestos in many ways, including at power plants, garages, factories, and within their own homes. For example, Clay and other Firm partners Christian Hartley and Marcus Raichle obtained a verdict from a Philadelphia jury for a former Ford dealership employee. Clay and the Firm represented this client through several appellate stages until the verdict was upheld by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in 2016. In 2014, Clay represented a former boilermaker in a New York City trial that resulted in a $7 million dollar jury verdict.

During his time with the Firm Clay has obtained seven figure total settlements for clients with varied exposures to asbestos, including an automotive parts handler, a carpenter, a steel mill worker, a power plant employee, and an individual who lived near an asbestos plant.

Clay is happily married with a son and three daughters.

Clay is licensed in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Illinois, and Missouri, and serves clients throughout the United States.
