Aimee Williams is an attorney admitted to practice law in California and in her home state of Queensland, Australia. She completed her law degree at Griffith University, Australia, where she graduated with Honours and was awarded the University Award for Academic Excellence and the Academic Prize for Property Law. In addition to Law, she also completed a Bachelor of International Relations with a minor in Spanish Language, and spent a semester studying international law and politics at L’Institut des Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po).

Aimee was a clerk for the Director of Public Prosecutions, specializing in appellate work, before becoming a prosecuting attorney. She has consistently focused on serving dis-empowered communities and promoting access to justice, primarily victims of crime, immigrants and refugees. During law school she served as the editorial assistant to the Queensland Law Handbook, published by Caxton Legal Center, the most comprehensive plain-English legal reference text in the state of Queensland. Beginning in law school and until she left Australia, Aimee also volunteered as an English-language tutor for recently arrived refugees.

Aimee moved to California in 2013 and was admitted to the California Bar shortly thereafter. She has worked as a tenants rights lawyer at non-profit organizations Eviction Defense Network and Inner City Law Center, where she concentrated on preventing the displacement of low-income and vulnerable tenants at risk of homelessness through both litigation and policy advocacy. She is an active member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, the Beverly Hills Bar Association and the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild. Ms. Williams is licensed to practice law in California and is fluent in Spanish.
