Genevieve Harte, who is admitted to practice in both New York and New Jersey, is an Associate in Tully Rinckey PLLC’s Syracuse office who handles Federal Sector Labor & Employment matters. She has prior experience handling employment, commercial, family and immigration matters.
Prior to joining Tully Rinckey PLLC, Genevieve was an Associate Attorney at Pearce Law, LLC in Hackensack, N.J., where she handled a variety of matters, including pleadings and motion practice, drafting briefs, wills, trusts and other agreements, including marital settlement agreements. She also advised clients and negotiated settlements, developed litigation plans and attended court hearings, conferences and mediations. Genevieve previously was an Associate Attorney for Sarmasti PLLC in Fairfield, N.J., where she drafted a variety of contracts and agreements. She also researched, wrote and filed pleadings, briefs and appellate briefs and handled all aspects of transactions and litigation, as well as attended depositions and oral arguments.
Genevieve’s legal experience also includes the Bergen County Superior Court, where she was a court-appointed attorney for guardianship proceedings and a certified court-appointed mediator. She also served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Ronny Jo Siegal, J.S.C., in New Jersey Superior Court, Family Division, in Hackensack, and as an Associate and Law Clerk at Fleming Ruvoldt PLLC in Moonachie, N.J., a criminal defense firm. Her externships included positions in the Social Security Administration’s Law Department; the United States Postal Service’s Law Department; the New York Liquidation Bureau, all in New York City; and the Institute of International Commercial Law in White Plains, N.Y.
Genevieve also founded First Class Tutoring, LLC and has been providing private tutoring and college counseling services for high school and college coursework and various standardized tests, including the SAT for over 10 years. Genevieve partnered with Brainscape Technology to create content and managed a team to produce three original SAT study apps.
Genevieve earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in theology, archaeology and anthropology and a Master’s degree in theology from Cambridge University in Cambridge, England. She obtained her law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law, in New Jersey. Her article, “Electronic Discovery in Civil Litigation: Avoiding Surprises in Cost Shifting Decisions,” was published in Seton Hall’s Circuit Review Journal.
