Kristina graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2006. Afterwards, Kristina aided disaster survivors through her work with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). While at DHS/FEMA, Kristina received recognition for her work in coordinating and managing disaster relief efforts nationwide.
Subsequent to working for the federal government, Kristina received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Faulkner University, Jones School of Law, graduating expeditiously in 2012. During law school, Kristina was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Honor Society and served as Vice President of the Women’s Legal Society.
Prior to joining Butler, Kristina litigated numerous felony and misdemeanor trials as an Assistant Public Defender for the Twelfth Judicial Circuit. In addition to representing the indigent, Kristina also simultaneously served as the Staff Attorney for the DUI Court Diversionary Program under the Honorable Judge David L. Denkin.
Following the practice of criminal law, Kristina gained civil litigation experience as Senior Attorney for the Department of Children and Families, where she served as an advocate for child welfare.
Kristina is a member of the Florida Bar, American Inn of Court, and the Manatee County Bar Association (MCBA). She currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Young Lawyers Division of the MCBA.
