Steven Silverberg provides services to businesses, municipalities and individuals. In addition to the approval process for residential and commercial development, he has negotiated complex development agreements and counseled clients in the financing of commercial projects. Currently Steve serves as counsel to several corporations providing services ranging from corporate organization and shareholders agreements to employment litigation. He has also counseled clients through all stages of construction projects including drafting of construction contracts, as well as litigation and arbitration of construction claims. He has served as special counsel for the Villages of Mamaroneck, Pelham Manor, Tarrytown, Wesley Hills, the Town of Eastchester, the Larchmont Public Library, the City of White Plains, the Mount Vernon City Council and the White Plains Housing Authority. Steve is Planning and Zoning attorney for the Town of Haverstraw. Previously, as attorney to the Town of Mamaroneck, Mamaroneck Village Attorney and New Hempstead Village Attorney, he counseled all Town and Village boards and commissions. Steve has also served as counsel to the Town of Greenburgh Zoning Board of Appeals and the Greenburgh Housing Authority. In addition, he is an author, having written a Chapter on Subdivision and Site Plan Approval, "Warren's Weed New York Real Property Law" (Matthew Bender, 1990). Co-Author, "Wetlands and Coastal Zone Regulation and Compliance" (John Wiley & Sons, 1993); Chapter on American Jurisprudence Proof of Facts 3d, Vol. 31, "Zoning Proof of Inverse Condemnation From Excessive Land Use Regulation" (Lawyers Cooperative Publishing, 1995). Currently, he serves on the Board of Editors of the New York Real Estate Law Reporter. A former Adjunct Professor of Law at New York Law School, he also previously served as a Board Member of the Westchester Municipal Planning Federation, a member of the governing council and is past chair of the Education Board of the ABA Law Practice Management Section and a member of the Village Board of the Village of Piermont. Currently he also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Rockland Municipal Planning Federation. He has been listed in the Metro New York editions of Super Lawyers® from 2010 through 2018 under Land Use and Zoning Attorneys
