  • Ohio's tax code has undergone substantial changes in recent years. Because of these changes and the general complexity of the Ohio tax code, the Ohio Department of Taxation is concerned that taxpayers inadvertently may have not filed correct tax returns in past years. In an effort to remedy this situation, and to help taxpayers avoid future exposure and save significant dollars in doing so, the Ohio Department of Taxation is offering a one-time-only, six-week amnesty program from January 1 to February 15, 2006 as a limited-time opportunity for taxpayers to pay any delinquent taxes they may owe.
