  • Happy Thanksgiving! What do you have to be thankful for today?

While no one will ever be thankful for their asbestos-related illness, we can all certainly be thankful that many of those responsible for mesothelioma patients' exposure are being held accountable for their negligence.

Mesothelioma is a rare and incurable form of cancer that is caused by asbestos exposure. Many mesothelioma victims are military veterans, or those who worked in labor trades throughout U.S. history. Both employers and larges asbestos corporations are at fault for failing to enact safety procedures and systems for handling asbestos, especially after it became a known hazard to human health.

Today, many of these companies are being ordered by courts around the country to compensate victims, oftentimes with multi-million dollar verdicts. While compensation like that is truly something to be thankful for, we find more gratification in the fact that those who knowingly exposed American people to a toxic substance are being held accountable for their actions.
