•Prepares and assists with implementation of HIPAA and HITECH Act compliance programs for health care providers and business associates; conducts HIPAA site reviews and workforce training; prepares, reviews and negotiates Business Associate Agreements; and assist with documenting HIPAA Risk Assessments and reporting of HIPAA Breaches of Unsecured PHI

•Advises on appropriate billing practices for diagnostic and other ancillary services

On October 12, 2017, Alexander Lebedinski presented to Orthopaedic Managers Association of Michigan, an organization that supports the needs of Orthopaedic Practice Managers and Administrators in the State of Michigan, on fundamental compliance issues under Stark and the Anti-Kickback Statute. The presentation included an overview of the applicable law and the requirements of the most commonly used exceptions to Stark and safe harbors to the Anti-Kickback Statute, as well as practical considerations in implementing and monitoring compliance with these requirements.
