Mr. Lammers has 30 years’ of experience in civil litigation, including mediations, jury trials, bench trials, pre-trial discovery, motion practice and has had extensive experience handling all types of negligence and professional malpractice cases. He has represented parties in securities class action litigation, insurance bad faith litigation and ground water contamination actions. He has also represented parties in actions brought by State and Federal agencies including the Federal Trade Commission. Mark also has extensive appellate experience in both State and Federal Courts of Appeals.
Mark started his legal career at the Pima County attorney's office, where he prosecuted all types of serious felonies, including serious violent crimes, white-collar crime, and forfeiture litigation. He currently is a special prosecutor for the San Carlos Apache tribe. He also defends individuals accused of crimes, primarily serious offenses and white-collar crimes. He has represented State employees who were involved in a criminal investigation.
Mark handled many school law issues and lawsuits at his prior law firm. Some issues included construction claims, student disciplinary disputes, employment lawsuits and desegregation lawsuits. He also represented several charter schools involving school law issues.
Mark has extensive experience in employment law. His experience ranges from representing individuals to representing businesses and school districts. In particular, he is represented many school districts faced with discrimination claims. He is represented governmental agencies and businesses before the ACRD/EEOC and has tried discrimination related lawsuits.
Mark has experience in handling claims brought by private parties and governmental entities involving alleged environmental violations including defending major governmental contractors in a class action suit alleging that groundwater in Tucson was contaminated. This was a very complex piece of litigation involving many parties and hundreds of plaintiffs. He has also responded to local, state and federal investigations on behalf of businesses for violating local state environmental laws and he has represented mining companies and has advised them on environmental regulations. He has also defended parties who have been criminally charged with violating environmental laws.
Mark’s experience in intellectual property law includes prosecuting and defending claims for patent, trademark and copyright infringement. Examples of his representation includes claims involving breaches of confidentiality
