  • In an opinion piece in the Anchorage Daily News, Alaska Governor Parnell urged support for state participation in the Alaska LNG Project, which would involve construction of a pipeline to access North Slope gas supplies and an interconnection to a proposed LNG export terminal on the south central coast of Alaska. Parnell stated that benefits of Alaskan ownership or participation in the project include ensuring that “the state will receive a share of profits over the entirety of the project” and “that we either pay ourselves for project services or, at the very least, negotiate the lowest possible costs.”
