Prior to joining Farris, Kevin’s recent public law matters included acting in a number of processes for the parents of a deceased British serviceman who died in suspicious circumstances, advising the organising committee of a major international sporting event in relation to Business & Human Rights issues, and advising an Indian manufacturer in relation to its response to allegations by an NGO that human rights violations had occurred at one of the company’s sites.
In the area of commercial litigation, Kevin acted as a member of the team which represented Citigroup in the bank’s successful defence against a 2 billion claim brought by Terra Firma in the English Commercial Court in relation to the sale of EMI, and on behalf of an international bank in a US$650 million claim concerning a complex Shari’ah-compliant financing issued in Bahrain in 2007 by a Saudi borrower.
