Biography

Jan K. Apo has been a trial attorney for 30 years. His practice focuses on all personal injury matters including accidents, wrongful death and product liability.

Jan K. Apo began his legal career with the Office of the Public Defender on Maui and Oahu where he honed his professional courtroom skills and developed into one of Hawaii's most accomplished litigators. In 1985, JKA shifted his focus to civil law when he became the managing partner of Tateishi & Apo, Attorneys in Law. In 1994 he opened his own law firm, The Law Offices of Jan K. Apo.

For the past 17 years Jan K. Apo has run a successful law practice focusing on personal injury and litigation. With an efficient and effective legal support team, the Law Office of Jan K. Apo has successfully taken on cases against corporate giants such as Ford Motor Company, Nissan, Yamaha and Dow Chemical. Vigorous litigation is the norm for this office. An experienced trial attorney, Jan K. Apo has appeared in every Circuit Court in the State of Hawaii, the Hawaii Supreme Court, the U.S. Federal District Court, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

In 2000 Jan K. Apo was appointed a Per Diem Judge of the District Court of the Second Circuit, State of Hawaii. He continues to hold this Judgeship position as a way of giving back to the judicial community on Maui.
