Warranty Law

A warranty is a promise made by a product manufacturer or seller to stand behind a product in the event that it breaks, fails to perform as advertised or is otherwise defective. In the United States, the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) and Federal Trade Commission rules form the bulk of federal warranty laws. These laws cover written warranties, implied warranties and express warranties. If you are unable to get a company to honor a warranty, talk to either products liability lawyers and warranty attorneys. The law firm can guide you through the process of filing a breach of warranty lawsuit and/or pursue an out-of-court settlement with the manufacturer. Warranty lawyers can also work with businesses to ensure they are in compliance with applicable warranty laws, and to defend the company in the event of breach of warranty litigation.
